ESPN has unveiled a new feature called "Where to Watch" on its app and website, aiming to streamline the process for sports fans to locate live games across various platforms. This tool allows users to search for any sports event and discover where it is being broadcast, whether on ESPN's own channels or other networks and streaming services.
The "Where to Watch" guide encompasses a vast array of sporting events, including those from the NFL, NCAA Football, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, F1, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, tennis majors, MLS, Premier League, and Champions League. It also covers other live sporting events airing on ESPN platforms, with plans to expand its coverage over time.
Fans can personalize the guide by prioritizing their favorite teams and leagues, tailoring the content to their preferences. This customization is linked to their ESPN profile and personalization settings, providing a daily overview of sports events.
Brian Marshall, Vice President of Sports Product and Technology at Disney and ESPN Technology, emphasized the importance of this feature, stating, "Simplifying discovery of sporting events and where a fan can watch has become increasingly important as sports viewing has become fragmented across networks and platforms." He added, "ESPN has always been the first stop for sports fans, and as we continue our evolution as the preeminent digital sports platform, we are proud to meet the needs of fans with new features to improve the discoverability of live sports and simplify their consumption journeys."
The "Where to Watch" feature is now available on the ESPN App and ESPN.com, accessible via espn.com/wheretowatch. This initiative reflects ESPN's commitment to enhancing the sports viewing experience by providing fans with easy access to live games across multiple platforms.
